Experienced Drafter - Proficient in Revit
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drafter with a strong background in Revit and a proven track record of permitting ADUs in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have at least successfully completed plans that were submitted and permitted projects within San Diego, a deep understanding of local code and permitting processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed architectural drawings and plans for ADUs, custom homes, and multi-family dwellings using Revit.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes and regulations specific to San Diego.
- Collaborate with engineers, and project managers to produce efficient, high-quality work.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications.
- Review and incorporate feedback from clients and plan reviewers into design revisions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ADU trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a drafter completing submittal ready plans with a focus on ADUs in San Diego.
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam is required.
- Strong understanding of local permitting processes and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work setting.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
